The Fine Print:
General: We make a distinction between a strict return and what we consider to be a warranty claim on a Krieger Barrel. As such, these two distinct situations have two distinct policies attached to them. Definitions: A “Warranty Claim” is defined as a barrel that was correctly ordered by the customer and shipped to that customer but was either unusable or unsatisfactory to the customer. This could be the result of a manufacturing defect such as a physical dimension being out of our internally defined manufacturing tolerances or it could be that significant accuracy issues exist within the scope of the work that was done by Krieger Barrels despite the barrel being within tolerances. A “Cancellation Return” is defined as a barrel that was incorrectly ordered by the customer in some way. This could occur if the customer ordered some quantity of barrels and then at some point during or after production of these barrels decides that he or she must lower the quantity ordered or cancel all quantities of that particular barrel. This may also occur if a customer purchases an in-stock barrel from our online store and then decides that he or she does not want that barrel before or after it has been shipped from Krieger Barrels. Accuracy in ordering your Krieger Barrel: The most common barrel sold by Krieger Barrels is an unchambered blank “in the white.” By this we mean a rifled, contoured, polished and lapped barrel that still requires a finish cut and crown as well as a chamber to be cut. These and many other options are available upon request, and subject to physical constraints and our own internal policies. The customer should not assume that we provide a certain chamber, surface treatment or any other service on their particular barrel unless they have confirmed this from a member of our technical sales staff or specifically chosen it as an option through one of our online sales channels. We only chamber barrels for a limited list of cartridges and only perform fittings on a limited list of receivers for example and while some contours can be fluted in a given caliber, others cannot. When an order is placed we make every effort to understand your requirements, whether your order is placed over the phone, online through our custom order form or through our ready-to-purchase online storefront. There are, of course, inherent limitations to the online sales channels when the shooter requires some very customized or unlisted options. The customer recognizes all of these requirements and limitations and is thereby responsible for making Krieger Barrels aware of any special requirements before an order is placed since those requirements may or may not be available for that particular barrel. If you are unsure about the options available on a certain caliber and contour, please inquire with our technical sales staff by either calling our office at (262) 628-8558 or submitting an online inquiry. Warranty Claim Policy: Policy Statement: Krieger Barrels strives for the highest quality possible in barrel making and guarantees customer satisfaction. Krieger Barrels guarantees shipment of a barrel free from any manufacturing defects and capable of premium accuracy. If the work we did was unsatisfactory, we will replace your barrel or refund your purchase. Detail and requirements: If a barrel is out of spec in a visible or measurable dimension whether it is a length, diameter, twist rate or threads that do not mesh etc. Krieger Barrels will replace or refund the customer’s barrel. We also understand that there can be issues with accuracy on a barrel that shows no signs of any material defect. In these cases we ask the customer to do some troubleshooting on their end to be sure that the accuracy issue is not related to some other component in their rifle system. If this investigation points to a potential problem in the barrel we simply ask that the barrel be sent to us so that we can continue to investigate the issue for our own learning and improvement purposes. If the barrel was fitted to the customer’s barrel by Krieger Barrels we would require the whole rifle to be sent back to us. We will then send the customer a new barrel made to the same specifications as the original order or refund the purchase price. Further requirements: The customer understands that Krieger Barrels can only claim responsibility for defects related to the work done by Krieger Barrels. For example, if the problem relates to improperly cut chamber that was cut by the customer’s gunsmith, Krieger Barrels cannot guarantee nor offer warranty for that gunsmith’s work. The customer must also be able to provide evidence that this barrel was purchased from Krieger Barrels by providing the Krieger Barrels serial number from that barrel. Whenever a customer receives a Krieger barrel, the serial number is either stamped on the breech or engraved on the side of the barrel. It is the customer’s responsibility to keep a record of the serial number associated with each barrel in case of warranty issues. Cancellation Return Policy: For any order which is cancelled, the customer will receive a refund for the amount that customer has already paid toward that order minus any applicable restocking fees, shipping costs and non-refundable down payments. The exact restocking fees (to cover credit card transaction fees and other clerical costs) will be assessed and presented to the customer at the time of cancellation but will not exceed 15% of the original retail order value. Shipping costs would become applicable if the barrel was shipped to the customer before the customer decided to cancel the order. Some down payments are non-refundable. This will be made clear at the time of purchase and is outlined in the Down payments policy document at “kriegerbarrels.com/policy”.
SECTION 1: SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES Shipping and handling, unless noted specifically, is not included in any listed prices or subtotals for barrels. Shipping and handling charges are calculated based on the size, weight, value and destination of the items shipped. These charges are calculated when the order is processed and are subject to change or revision at any time. SECTION 2: PRE-PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS AND FORFEITURE Unless a customer has negotiated an open account status with Krieger Barrels, the full value of the order placed is due prior to shipment of items. Once payment is received in the form of a check or valid credit card payment, the items will be shipped to the customer. Typically these items will ship on the day of payment or the day after but could take up to 5 business days to ship. This does not necessarily apply to items exported outside of the United States (see section 6). The customer will receive an order ready notice when work has completed and their items are ready to ship. The customer is obligated to make payment or setup an agreed upon payment schedule with Krieger Barrels on that order within 30 days of either the estimated ship date or the date sent of the order ready notice, whichever is later. For example, because a barrel could be completed much sooner than estimated, the customer can choose to hold payment and Krieger Barrels will hold shipment until their original due date. If the barrel takes as long as or longer than the estimate to complete, however, the customer is obligated to make full payment within 30 days of the order ready notice. In any case, full payment is required before items can ship. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide accurate contact information so that we are able to arrange payment or make any other required communications. Krieger Barrels may negotiate a different agreement with customers, but is not obligated to accept any payment schedules that fall outside these prescribed guidelines. If the customer fails to make payment within 30 days of the original due date, prescribed deadline or the order ready notice (whichever is latest), the items will be considered as abandoned and will no longer be reserved for exclusive sale to that customer. Krieger Barrels will then use those items to fulfil any other pending orders, to sell as finished good inventory or sell through any other sales channel it chooses. If the items are still available for retail sale, the original customer can choose to purchase those items, subject to the same prepayment constraints. SECTION 3: DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES At the time an order is placed, the sales staff will assign that order an estimated due date that takes into account both the size and type of the order itself as well as the current backlog in our shop. This estimated due date will appear on your order confirmation, whether it is sent by email or postal mail. The customer recognizes that the estimated due date is only an estimate. Barrels may be completed before or after the estimated due date has passed. Custom Krieger Barrels are made to the customer’s specifications after the order is placed and, as in any custom manufacturing process, the time required to complete it can vary. When your order is ready to ship you will be contacted for payment. Depending on the nature of the order, a down payment may be required before we begin work on your barrel. If this is the case you will be contacted to arrange payment prior to your order beginning work. It is the responsibility of the customer to provide accurate contact information so that we are able to arrange payment or make any other required communications. Krieger Barrels purchased online through our website are typically ready to ship much sooner because these barrels have already been rifled and contoured. If the customer would like us to perform additional services on a barrel, lead time will increase according to any and all manufacturing constraints. It is the customer’s responsibility to understand the attributes the barrel has before purchase online either by reading the description, sending an inquiry or calling the office. When full payment is received for an order, the items will ship within 5 business days, usually within 1 or 2 business days. When down payments are received for an order, those orders will ship according to our typical lead time guidelines for the work being done. SECTION 4: FREIGHT CARRIERS Krieger Barrels will decide which carrier is used to ship barrels to the customer. If the customer has specific constraints regarding freight carriers or shippers, those constraints must be made clear at the time of order placement. SECTION 5: SHIPPING YOUR PARTS TO KRIEGER BARRELS If the customer is having work done which requires the customer to send some of his or her own personal parts such as a receiver or a muzzle device etc. the customer must first download the appropriate parts send in checklist and complete it fully. These documents contain instructions about how to prepare your parts for us to work on them and which parts we can accept and which we cannot. The customer will also list the value of his or her parts which will be used when adding shipping insurance to the return shipment. If the customer is sending a rifle, it must be shipped in a hard case or it will be returned by Krieger Barrels in a hard case at the customer’s expense. If the customer sends parts to us without the appropriate form or without first placing an order or speaking with a member of our technical sales staff about your project needs we cannot guarantee that we can take in your parts or perform the services you require. Please check our website or call our office for clarification on what work we do, especially when it pertains to gunsmithing work. Note that some work can not be completed until the customer sends and Krieger Barrels receives the required parts from the customer, thus any estimated ship date is contingent on the customer sending the parts in promptly so that they are present and properly prepared when work is ready to begin with them. NFA NOTICE: Under no circumstances may a customer send Krieger Barrels a full auto/select fire receiver (even if selector blocked), a receiver with a barrel shorter than 16 inches or a sound suppression device to Krieger Barrels. Krieger Barrels is not licensed to accept any class 2 or class 3 firearms or components, and noncompliance with this will result in my firearm and/or components to be turned over to the local BATFE agent. Krieger Barrels cannot be held responsible for what an individual sends to them if they fall into the above categories. SECTION 6: EXPORTS Due to US State Department regulations pertaining to the exportation of barrels outside of the United States, the delivery timeframes as well as shipping and handling charges, payment methods and freight carries used may be different than those listed above or generally used within the United States or the customer's home country. These terms will more than likely be negotiated between the customer and Krieger Barrels on an individual case-by-case basis. In general there will be even less flexibility in these matters and more time required for the shipment to reach the customer’s shipping destination. Krieger Barrels does not currently offer online sales to shooters outside of the United States. Shooters outside the US can submit an inquiry or they can complete a custom order and choose “Export” when entering their contact information. Note that custom orders for shooters outside the US are treated as an inquiry rather than a strict order because there are some countries where we have well established suppliers that we can direct you to and others where we cannot ship our barrels to at all. Custom orders for shooters within the US are, as always, treated as full orders.
Down Payments: A non-refundable down payment is sometimes required when placing an order before we can begin work on that order. If a down payment is required, the customer will be notified either when the order is placed or when they receive the order confirmation. The size of the required down payment will be determined based on the particular aspects of the order in question. Services and special requests: Krieger Barrels may require down payments for services such as fluting and chambering, as well as odd or non-standard dimensions, twists rates etc. This is necessary because often special tooling, fixtures etc. must be made for that one order, and other times the service may decrease the usability or desirability of that barrel for another shooter. Larger or discounted orders may be subject to down payments as well. Since production time and flow is allocated to accommodate these larger orders and facilitate the manufacturing advantage that justifies such a discount, down payments are required of the customer to give us faith that they will complete payment and take shipment when these barrels are completed. In some cases, if changes or cancellations are made before production begins, all or part of the down payment may be returned. Down payments will not be refunded once work has begun on the orders.
Krieger Barrels is happy to offer a 5% discount off the retail price of any barrels for all active duty members of our United States Armed Forces. Military ID or other proof of service is required.

Krieger Barrels does offer quantity based discounts for customers who order substantial quantities of identical barrels. This is worked out on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to credit verification and down payments. Get the process started by sending us an inquiry.
