Krieger Barrels offers a full range of services on our AR-15 and AR-10/M110 barrels (drop in ready with a JP Bolt) and various services on our Bolt Action, M1 Garand, M1A and M1903 barrels. Check below to see what options are available.
We also offer complete Ruger Precision Rifle barrels that are ready to be installed on your receiver by a competent gunsmith with headspace gauges and an AR15 Barrel wrench. For most other bolt action receivers the best option is to perform a custom fitting to ensure proper fit to your bolt and receiver. Therefore, you should send your Krieger blank to a trusted gunsmith. (Don't have one? Start here. This is just a resource, not an endorsement from Krieger.)

Rough Chamber:
We stop reamer .100” to .200” short of finish; this saves wear and tear on your finish reamer.
Price: $80.00
A finished chamber that is .100” to .200” deep. You can use your lathe to thread, shoulder, breech cone, and set the headspace. You will still need headspace gauges which we do not provide.

Benefits:
Flutes aid in cooling a barrel by exposing more surface area to the outside air. Flutes can also increase the rigidity to weight ratio of the barrel, thereby reducing barrel vibration and whip over a barrel of the same weight unfluted. (For example, our #8 Standard Target barrel (fluted) - weighing 5.5lb - will be more rigid than a #7 light Target barrel (unfluted) weighing 5.5lb.

Up to 30” finish length, and overall OD of 1.250” for stainless steel and 1.300” for chrome moly.

Oversize Barrel: Finish length in excess of 30” or overall OD greater than 1.250” for stainless steel and 1.300 for chrome moly.

Availability:
Fluting is available for both chrome moly and stainless steel barrels in all calibers, as long as certain safety minimums are maintained. If you are not sure if your barrel contour meets these requirements, please feel free to call and discuss it with one of our technicians, (262) 628-8558. Flutes can be put on barrels up to 34” in overall blank length with outside diameters up to 1.350".
Style & Dimensions:
Our standard 10 flutes use a 3/16” cutter, start 5-7” from the breech (depending on contour), and end approximately 2” from muzzle, leaving plenty of room to mount a sight base or barrel band. We also offer 6 flutes with a 1/4” cutter at your request.

Short Chamber: M1 Garand, M1903 & M1A / M14
Chamber complete and polished except shoulder is -.010” to be finish chambered with an ordinance style “head space reamer.”
Shoulder is cut to time up with the M1 Garand drawings and receivers. (Note: may not time perfectly on all commercial receivers).
Includes crown muzzle.

Satin Bead Blast: M1 Garand & M1A / M14
Glass bead blast exterior finish for stainless steel. Provides a matte silver gray appearance with reduced glare.

Parkerize: M1 Garand, M1903 & M1A / M14
Manganese phosphate surface treatment. This is included free of charge on all of our Chrome Moly M1 Garand, M1A and M1903 barrels (all patterns and contours).
If you do not want your barrel parkerized please let us know when you place your order. Not available for Stainless Steel.

National Match Aperture Hood and Rack Assembly: M1 Garand & M1A / M14
Converts your M1 Garand from 1 minute elevation to ½ minute elevation by rotating the hood. Available in both .0595” and .0520” peep hole diameters.
For accuracy reasons, this unit MUST be custom fit to your sight base by a gunsmith.

Oversize Op Rod Guide: M1A / M14 Heavy Pattern
This replaces the standard op-rod guide and is required for our heavy contour barrels to accommodate the larger diameter. (Included free of charge with our Heavy Pattern M1A barrels.) Need an extra?

Chambering Options:
Finish Chamber
Your barrel can be chambered, headspaced, crowned and timed to barrel extension. It would then be ready to install on your upper.
All of our chambered AR15 barrels are headspaced to a JP Bolt
(Click here to learn why we made this decision). You may either purchase
a JP bolt from us with your chambering or use your own JP bolt if you choose this service. We no longer will set headspace
to a customer supplied bolt, but you may, of course, still receive your barrel unchambered and ready for a gunsmith to finish
to the cartridge and bolt of your choice.

Chambering Options:
